Words
From my lips, with intention.
I love watching someone fly who never knew they had wings.
Or who knew, and were afraid to open them, let alone use them.
I built this room because those rooms kept failing
the people who needed them most.
Control is what you reach for when you don’t trust someone.
A rule is a decision I made when he wasn’t in the room.
That is not a kink problem. That is an isolation problem,
and isolation is where shame does its best work.
Anyone can be harsh. Harsh is easy. Harsh costs nothing.
Consistency is what costs.
Shame does not survive being written down in your own handwriting.
My authority is not a permission slip.
It is a bill that comes due every single day.
Consent given on false information is not consent.
No performance required. No version of you
that’s more acceptable than the real one.
Charisma is easy. Boring about safety is rare.
Care is the most demanding thing I do.
I see you. I hear you. You are safe. And you will fly.
