Key Two: Toward and Away
Key One asked you to be honest about where you stand. It was not a comfortable place to start, and I built it that way on purpose. Nothing on this path opens honestly until you have done that first.
Key Two asks something harder. It asks you to look at what you are actually walking away from, and to name it plainly enough that you would recognize it if it turned up again wearing a different face.
Almost nobody arrives at power exchange with a clean slate. You arrive carrying a picture of what a man is, what a woman is, what love is supposed to cost you, and where you learned it. Some of that came from your family. Some came from whatever tradition raised you. A lot of it came from the internet, and I will be honest about that one, because the internet is where most people learn this, and it is teaching almost all of them wrong.
You do not have to burn any of it down. You just have to be able to see it, because you cannot choose something you have never actually looked at.

This is not a shame exercise. This one is a map, not a verdict. If you catch yourself writing sentences that begin with “I was so stupid to,” stop and write what actually happened instead.
You’re allowed to stop. Put it down mid-sentence, come back next week, or never come back to a particular question at all. Nothing here is graded, and nothing unlocks based on how much you were willing to bleed on the page.
